HGA Explores Ireland!
When I was invited on a FAM trip to Ireland over St. Patrick’s Day, I had no idea what was in store for me! I have only been here for a few days, but I already feel the fresh air and deep culture of this area has engulfed my entire body. I arrived in Belfast on Ireland’s Mother’s Day, which is March 15th. We started off strong with a visit to the Titanic Belfast Museum where they have the most expansive collection of artifacts from the RMS Titanic. This was such a sight to see, and it was a real treat to get to witness these artifacts firsthand. After the Titanic, we experienced the Culloden Estate & Spa. This beautiful palace was built in 1876 and was once known as Bishop’s Palace; as in the Bishop of Ireland, who used to live here. The palace is surrounded by absolutely breathtaking views of the Belfast lough and the Hollywood hills. I am honored to get to experience this palace for the evening. After having a delightful toast with the Culloden Estate General Manager, we set off on an amazing adventure to see the pubs of Belfast. These pubs did not disappoint! We were greeted with the sounds of musicians playing a variety of local songs, and we learned how to pour the perfect glass of Guinness!
The second day of this unforgettable trip included a Game of Thrones Tour at Castleward that was truly amazing. Afterwards we went to the home of the Lord and Lady Dunleath where we experienced the most wonderful hospitality! The evening also did not disappoint, as we attended dinner and an exclusive Van Morrison concert! Talk about a memorable first couple of days! Today is truly going to be a day to remember, as I get to experience my first ever authentic St. Patrick’s Day! There is no doubt in my mind that the next few days here will be as amazing as the last few. One thing is certain, Ireland sure knows how to treat their corporate clients! Moloney & Kelly Travel have done such a terrific job of hosting these great events. I would highly recommend this destination to anyone looking for a refreshing and fulfilling experience for your group.
