Can you believe we’re halfway through 2018? What a productive whirlwind our 60th year has already been!

In just six short months, our H-Forward initiative has racked up a string of successes demonstrating that how we do business is as important as what we do every day.

Putting People First

At Hosts Global, we believe in acting with heart and in giving people the time to do so.

Our new Paid Volunteer Time Off program has sparked our teams to make an even bigger difference in their communities through neighborhood cleanups with Habitat for Humanity, fundraisers for the American Heart Association, “Career Day” workshops for children to learn about the hospitality industry and other great projects.

Being Reliable, Consistent and Devoted

No one invests as much as Hosts in educating our DMC members, ensuring every client in every destination enjoys a consistently outstanding experience.

We just wrapped up a fantastic Global Alliance Members Meeting in Belfast, Northern Ireland, attended by our entire global alliance and we look forward to seeing our U.S. destinations again when we meet up in Houston to share more Best Practices in August.

Bringing Local Savvy and Sophistication Without Added Complexity

We take great pride in our ability to provide our clients with the right resources, in the right places, at the right time.

We’re delighted to welcome these new DMCs with unsurpassed local expertise into the Hosts family: AZA Events in Scottsdale, Arizona and TOPMIC in Portugal.

Innovating Ahead of the Ask

Hosts has a formidable track record of leading the industry into new territory and driving needed change.

You’ve undoubtedly heard about our recent leadership with GDPR compliance. Not only were we the first-to-market with DMC training on improved data controls, our own Marty MacKay, DMCP, has become the go-to industry expert on GDPR best practices.

Marty has also continued to push the industry toward ever-better Emergency Preparedness and Crisis Management practices, emphasizing robust communication between planners and DMCs before any calamity strikes.

Investing to Improve the Client Experience

At Hosts, we’re hyper-focused on a singular objective: Always improving the client experience. We back up that devotion with significant investment – year in and year out.

Great example? Our 6thAnnual Hosts Global Forum held for the first time in Europe – Belfast, Northern Ireland – and attended by 100 clients and all 55+ DMC members.

What an amazing week of connecting, collaborating and educating each other on what’s new and next. I think everyone departed with a bit of Belfast’s hipster brogue on their tongues, some humorous Irish “craic” in their hearts and loads of powerful ideas for creating incredible events together across all 300+ destinations served by Hosts.

We can’t wait to see what opportunities spring from the 2019 Hosts Global Forum. Mark your calendars for June 27-30, 2019, when we’ll be at the Paradisus Palma Real in the Dominican Republic with Connect DMC and the hotel as our sponsors.
