Michelle Hunter serves as Vice President of Sales for Hosts Texas, bringing more than 18 years of hospitality, meetings, and events experience focused on driving revenue growth, building strategic partnerships, and delivering exceptional client experiences.
A graduate of the Dedman School of Hospitality at Florida State University, Michelle began her career in the hotel industry, where she spent 14 years leading sales, catering, and event initiatives for premier hospitality organizations. She also attended Florida A&M University, where she studied Business Administration and was a member of the university’s co-ed cheerleading team.
Throughout her career, Michelle has developed a reputation for cultivating strong client relationships, identifying strategic business opportunities, and creating innovative solutions that help organizations achieve their meeting, event, and business objectives. Her expertise spans hospitality sales, event strategy, client engagement, and business development, making her a trusted partner to corporations, associations, and industry stakeholders alike.
In recognition of her commitment to professional excellence, Michelle earned the Certified Professional in Catering and Events (CPCE) designation in 2019, one of the hospitality industry’s most respected credentials.
In 2022, Michelle transitioned into the destination management industry, where she has continued to leverage her extensive hospitality background to connect clients with memorable destination experiences, strengthen industry partnerships, and drive sustainable business growth. Her collaborative leadership style, passion for service, and dedication to excellence have made her a respected and valued leader within the meetings and events community.
As Vice President of Sales for Hosts Texas, Michelle is focused on expanding client relationships, supporting strategic growth initiatives, and showcasing the exceptional experiences that Texas destinations have to offer.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys traveling, discovering new destinations, spending quality time with family and friends, soaking up the sunshine, and making memories with her beloved pups, Chacchi and Lilita.
