Airports

The sheer physical size of Australia means that traveling between states (and sometimes within) is usually done via plane, so we have numerous world-class airports.
International Airports are located in Sydney (SYD), Melbourne (MEL), Brisbane (BNE), Gold Coast (OOL), Cairns (CNS), Adelaide (ADL), Perth (PER) and Darwin (DRW) with connections to all other major cities and many regional areas.

Weather

Australia is home to tropical, subtropical, desert and temperate climates – we’ve got dewy rainforests, sandy plains, snowy alps and sunny beaches. Temperature and climate are important considerations when planning your trip or packing your bags (we’re the land Down Under, so our seasons are the opposite to the Northern Hemisphere). But don’t forget to consider peak seasons, spectacular wildlife events and exciting festivals that could influence your decisions on when to visit Australia.
The weather in Australia varies greatly due to it’s size. Lying south of the equator, the further south you go, the colder it gets. Northern areas such as Darwin and Cairns are in the tropics and traditionally only have 2 seasons, wet and dry. The dry season is traditionally the best time to visit (April to September) with southern cities such as Melbourne, Hobart and Adelaide having winters at this time with average daily temperatures down to a (relatively) chilly 14 celsius (57F). Summer months in the southern areas are average a beautiful 27 celsius (80F) with the far north sweltering in the mid-30’s (95F). Sydney ranges from 17 (62F) to 26 (78F) with many people considering Brisbane and Gold Coast having the perfect weather year-round, ranging from 21 to 30 celsius (69 to 86F).
