PRESS RELEASE

Hosts Global Alliance (HGA) announces their Annual HGA Global Forum, which will be held in Boston, Massachusetts at the Royal Sonesta Boston from July 30th – August 3rd. DMC members from around the world will gather along with over 200 meeting and incentive planners in a one of a kind networking and educational opportunity. The HGA Global Forum features state of the art industry education. HGA is pleased to announce that a key component planned for the educational portion of the event will highlight Rodger Stotz, Chief Research Officer for the Incentive Research Foundation (IRF). IRF promotes research to advance awareness in various areas of motivation in the business industry globally. Stotz will facilitate a discussion during the HGA Global Forum that will focus on IRF’s ground breaking research which highlights the changing roles of DMCs in the meeting and incentive industry. Stotz comments, “The DMC research was conducted in conjunction with our academic partners at University of Massachusetts Amherst. For this project, we gathered healthy survey samples from both meeting and incentive planners, as well as wide variety of DMCs.  The study reveals several interesting conclusions.”  These conclusions and what they mean will be discussed in further detail during Stotz’s HGA presentation.

This past week, IRF held their 22nd Annual Incentive Invitational in Miami, Florida. On hand to represent HGA was President of Hosts New Orleans, Terry Epton, CIS, CITE, DMCP. When asked about the data IRF has produced, Epton remarked, “This new DMC research is interesting in so many ways. It validates many topics we expected it to, but it also contains eye-opening results that help to provide actionable data and analytics for companies like Hosts Global. With this we can fine tune our business in ways that most effectively meet the requirements of the 21st century meeting and incentive industry.”

Hosts Global CEO, Jennifer Patino, DMCP, added, “Upon learning of IRF’s DMC research project, we immediately sent the survey to our entire Alliance of DMC members, who operate in over 190 destinations worldwide, in order to encourage a global perspective of the data. At that time of the project, I was the current President of ADME International, which allowed the opportunity to distribute the research survey to the entire association’s membership as well.  For this, I thank Fran Rickenbach, CAE, IOM, ADME International Executive Director, for her follow through.”

HGA looks forward to sharing this valuable data, including additional personal insights from Stotz, with HGA Members and clients at the 3rd Annual HGA Global Forum this summer in Boston, Massachusetts.

The Incentive Research Foundation (www.TheIRF.org) funds and promotes research to advance the science and enhance the awareness and appropriate application of motivation and incentives in business and industry globally. The goal is to increase the understanding, effective use, and resultant benefits of incentives to businesses that currently use incentives and others interested in improved performance.
