Job Summary
As Director, Global Sales, you are responsible for building and growing a high-value book of business across Hosts Global’s Alliance and owned DMCs.
This is a revenue-driving role for someone who knows how to hunt, build, and expand. You’ll develop new relationships, grow key accounts, and partner closely with our global teams to deliver seamless, high-impact programs.
Success in this role comes down to one thing: consistently creating and converting opportunity.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven success in business development and revenue growth, ideally managing a $5M–$10M+ pipeline or book
- A strong network within third-party agencies, corporate planners, or incentive/event space
- High energy, self-motivation, and the ability to operate independently
- Strong judgment in qualifying opportunities and focusing on high-value leads
- Experience using HubSpot or similar CRM tools to manage pipeline and activity
- Excellent communication skills—confident, polished, and relationship-driven
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work across internal teams and global partners
- A sense of urgency and accountability for hitting revenue goals
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Build, manage, and grow a $10M+ book of business through new client acquisition and account expansion
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, agencies, and partners
- Actively prospect, qualify, and convert new business opportunities
- Own the full sales cycle—from outreach through closing, to where’s the next event
- Negotiate contracts in alignment with company guidelines
Account Growth & Client Management
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and increase share of wallet
- Serve as a trusted partner to clients, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business
- Collaborate with DMC partners to deliver seamless programs and solutions
- Maintaining a balance of client advocacy and member stewardship
Sales Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute a personal sales and marketing plan aligned with revenue goals
- Prioritize high-impact activities—sales efforts that drive pipeline and conversion
- Represent Hosts Global with integrity and professionalism at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings
CRM & Reporting
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in Hubspot (pipeline, accounts, activities)
- Track performance against goals and adjust strategy as needed
- Monitor market and competitor activity to inform sales approach
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in sales or business development within DMC, hospitality, incentive travel, or event management
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Experience selling into global or multi-destination programs preferred
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Proficiency in HubSpot, Microsoft Office, and standard sales tools
- Willingness to travel 20–40% for client meetings and industry events
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
