The very mention of the name Monaco conjures up a thrill of excitement & evokes a fairytale, started in the 50’s when Grace Kelly married Prince Rainier, which contributed to the image of Monaco today.
The roar of the Formula 1 Grand Prix thundering through its streets, the applause during the Open Tennis Championships and the International Circus Festival… Its operas, ballets, concerts, luxurious boutiques, art exhibitions, firework displays are but a few of its attractions. Monaco is a world of glamour and dreams, of crystal-clear sea and blue skies. This tiny Principality set between mountain and sea occupies an area slightly smaller than Central Park and has a population of 38000 inhabitants. The famous pink palace, residence of H.R.H Prince Albert II, dominates the old town, the yachting harbor and overlooks the Grand Casino built by Charles Garnier in 1878.
It boasts a teller’s window for every 140 residents, a policeman for every 70. It is probably one of the richest, safest and cleanest places on earth.
