HGA Global Forum to Include Emergency Preparedness Educational Session

Hosts Global Alliance (HGA) continues to lead the hospitality industry by example by bringing a much anticipated educational session on event emergency preparedness to the 4th Annual HGA Global Forum this July in South Florida.

With the overwhelming response HGA received by creating a standardizing Emergency Preparedness Plan that all HGA DMC members can use, HGA knew they needed to bring this important topic to top meeting planners and clients. As a result, HGA is including an emergency preparedness educational session at this year’s HGA Global Forum. This session will use case studies to describe multiple types of emergencies that can impact the hospitality industry, the unique vulnerabilities of the industry, and outline specific preparedness measures that can be taken to mitigate the impacts of emergencies. In today’s environment, being able to lead in an emergency or crisis is essential for keeping clients safe and businesses resilient; HGA has recognized this need and is bringing it to their clients and HGA DMC members.

Marty MacKay, DMCP, President of HGA, comments, “The session on emergency preparedness is something that is necessary in the current event arena. We are dedicated to delivering top educational content and current trends for HGA Global Forum attendees. This topic is one that we know will benefit our clients. We want to ensure we are being proactive and providing education which prepares attendees to manage crisis’ that may arise at any future programs or events.”

The 4th Annual HGA Global Forum will be held July 21-24, 2016 in Southern Florida at the Turnberry Isle Miami Hotel. In previous years the HGA Global Forum has included highly rated sessions on top educational topics, including human trafficking and event cybersecurity. HGA will continue with their commitment to education by providing sessions eligible for CMP certification credits again this year at the HGA Global Forum.
