Hosts Global (Hosts) has appointed Holly Valenti as the new general manager for Hosts New Orleans and Holly Bethay, DMCP as the vice president of sales. These announcements were made following the promotion of seasoned executive, Terry Epton, CIS, CITE, DMCP from president of Hosts New Orleans to the newly developed corporate role of executive vice president, global brand ambassador. These strategic moves offer growth and new opportunities for Hosts New Orleans as well as Hosts’ global consortium of Destination Management Companies (DMCs), which Epton’s new role will support.
“Terry has spent over 35 years developing and representing the Hosts brand,” said Jennifer Patino, DMCP, chief executive officer of Hosts Global. “He will be instrumental in continuing to drive growth in his new global ambassador role.” Epton’s primary focus in his expanded role will include supporting sales and marketing initiatives for Hosts owned offices and global DMC consortium as well as creating new partnerships with national and international entities to continue to strengthen Hosts’ client experience.
“Promoting both of our Hollys to lead the long-standing, highly acclaimed team at Hosts New Orleans is just icing on the king cake,” said Epton. “Holly Valenti will inherit a top-quality team of individuals who already know and respect her and will grow to be that much greater with her industry experience and leadership. Holly Bethay is a force in the industry. Her promotion was a natural fit based on her tremendous accomplishments during the past thirteen years with Hosts. I couldn’t have made my move into the new ambassador role without knowing it was the best fit for all involved.”
Valenti has most recently served as director of operations for Hosts New Orleans. Her years of local hotel experience, including executive positions in sales, training and revenue management will be beneficial for both growing the Hosts New Orleans business and fostering our valued hotel partnerships.
Bethay has served as the director of sales and special events for Hosts New Orleans for the past seven years. She’s developed numerous award-winning programs and is highly engaged in the New Orleans meetings and events industry. As a New Orleans native, Holly professes there’s no better product to sell than the captivating city of New Orleans.
“These strategic moves will allow Hosts to deliver greater value, strengthen our focus on people-first, and lead the industry with new opportunities and initiatives”, said Patino. “It’s an exciting time here at Hosts Global.”
