The Smart Women in Meetings Awards, presented by Smart Meetings, honor women who are shaping the meetings and events industry with innovation, leadership, and a commitment to excellence.
This year, Cat Damaré, Lizzy Styles, and Jaclyn Bernstein have been recognized among the industry’s most influential women. Their achievements exemplify the creativity, dedication, and leadership that drive Hosts Global and its worldwide alliance of destination management companies (DMCs).

Cat Damaré – 2025 Rising Star
As Senior Marketing Manager at Hosts Global, Cat Damaré has been recognized as a Rising Star for her innovative approach and impactful contributions to the marketing and branding efforts of the company. With 12 years in the industry, including seven at Hosts Global, Cat has played a pivotal role in event design over the years, and now has transitioned into marketing to assist in elevating Hosts Global’s brand presence and engagement strategies.

With 15 years in hospitality and six years in the DMC industry, Lizzy has redefined the way Hosts Global crafts immersive and engaging experiences for clients worldwide. Her creative vision has led to groundbreaking event concepts that seamlessly blend design, storytelling, and execution, making an unforgettable impact.

From Hosts Global Alliance, Jaclyn Bernstein, CEO of Empire Force Events, a Hosts Global Member, has been inducted into the Smart Women in Meetings Hall of Fame. A true NYC Event Production, Destination Management, and Hospitality Professional, Jaclyn is a leader, insider, and champion in the industry. Owner of NYC’s longest independent and locally owned Destination Management Company (DMC), Jaclyn’s journey began with her very first job right out of college, which she went on to purchase a few years later. It’s the only company she’s ever worked for, and through her unwavering dedication and advocacy, Jaclyn has shaped the future of meetings and events, demonstrating unmatched leadership, expertise, and passion.
