Senior Operations Manager
Around the office, you’re known for: Incredibly detailed and (rainbow) color-coordinated to do lists.
Meeting or event experience you’ll never forget: At the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, our full-service catering company had to make a sharp pivot and create new opportunities for our services. We partnered with local restaurants and businesses to provide meals for service workers, delivered groceries to members of our community who were unable to leave their homes, created high-end dinner “kits” whose profits supported our team members, and even ran a small, mobile “farmer’s market” across the city. These endeavors may have quadrupled the number of logistics I was typically coordinating, but it was the most proud I have ever been to work in this industry.
The one DC secret I’m willing to share… Rock Creek Park is an amazing oasis in the middle of the city. Over twice the size of Central Park, it’s a perfect escape from the city and has something for everyone – sports fields (including a tennis stadium and golf course), secluded hiking trails, group picnic and party sites, Carter Barron Amphitheatre, and even a horse stable that offers guided trail rides. Visit over the weekend, when the road through the park is closed to vehicles, then head to Hitching Post restaurant in Petworth for one of the best meals in DC.
