Senior Operations Manager

Get to know Emily…

Around the office, you’re known for: Comic relief from time to time. And if you lose something, I will find it!

Meeting or event experience you’ll never forget: Working an event in Maui, the client hired chef Morimoto to filet a tuna live in between band sets. Seeing that close up was incredible, a little gross, and truly unforgettable. Also, as a freelancer for Hosts, I was smuggled into an Elton John concert by our client. Got to experience an amazing, bucket list artist from box seats at PetCo. I cried a little!

The one SoCal secret I’m willing to share… the seven bridges urban hike in San Diego. It’s about 7 miles and takes you through all the bridges in and around Hillcrest, Midtown, and Bankers Hill. It’s a mix of nature and urban areas, and you can eat and drink along the way if you’re so inclined!

About Emily Amezcua

Emily brings nearly a decade of event production experience, built on a foundation in the entertainment world. Her early career as a performer and behind-the-scenes producer sparked a love for live experiences and a knack for logistics—naturally leading her into the world of event operations. Today, she specializes in client relations, vendor coordination, and bringing ideas to life for corporate and private events.

Emily also serves as Vice President of Professional Development for MPI San Diego, where she leads the planning and execution of the chapter’s annual educational programming, including a full-day conference and other signature events.

Outside of work, you’ll find her adventuring, traveling, and wine-ing and dining with her husband—and still finding time to dabble in music when she can. Exploring new places is a true passion, but she loves living in a destination city, and taking full advantage of all the perks of living in San Diego. Emily is also loving life as a new mom and is determined to raise her sweet boy to be a good little adventurer and see the world.
