Around the office, you’re known for: Being enthusiastic, upbeat and seeing the positive in any situation! Also, your go to person to talk all things college football! Meeting or event experience you’ll never forget: Successfully planning and executing two back to back tech events in the same week in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia. Collaborating closely with an international team provided valuable insights into their culture and operational practices and I was able to take away a lot. While managing the logistics of traveling from the United States and between locations in Australia within a short time frame was challenging, the overall experience proved to be well worth it. At least now when a flight is under 16 hours, I think to myself, that’s nothing!

The one Chicago secret I’m willing to share… Chicago is such a walkable city! Public transportation is easily accessible but taking the walking route gives you the opportunity to see and take in all Chicago has to offer while getting your steps in. I also say always look up when you can! Chicago’s architecture is fascinating and if you don’t stop to look around, you might miss all the detail that makes it stick out from other cities.

Katie began her event planning career right out of college in 2009, diving into the fast-paced world of logistics, coordination, execution and high energy environments where she loves the hustle that comes with it. From the start, she was on the go, traveling to various locations and working early mornings and late nights to ensure events were executed smoothly. The rewarding feeling of seeing an event come together after working with a passionate team keeps her motivated to exceed expectations for clients and create a memorable experience. Katie enjoys spending time with her foster rescue dog, Bodie, walking the neighborhood dogs, boxing, being a proud alumni to the University of South Carolina Gamecocks, and taking in everything Chicago has to offer from Wrigley Field to the Lakefront to all the new happenings!
