Get to Know Vanessa…

Around the office, you’re known for Discovering the latest and greatest restaurants (usually with an ocean view) either for a future event or for catching up with co-workers for happy hour!

Meeting or event experience you’ll never forget: Transforming the top of a parking garage into a Tavern On the Green-inspired event- complete with turf flooring, gas lamps, and a working fountain! One small elevator did not stop us from pulling off a cocktail hour, coursed meal, and auction. It was so amazing to see the guests wowed by the quick flip of their company’s parking garage into a garden oasis.

The one San Diego secret I’m willing to share…  Head over to Kate Sessions Park to capture a view of both the bays and beaches of southern San Diego including downtown, and on a clear day even a peep of Mexico! To enhance your sunset experience further- pick up a Cali Burrito from Nico’s in Ocean Beach (yes that is a burrito with French fries and guacamole!)

And if you are in the mood for a little more action… catch a baseball game at the #1 stadium in the U.S., Petco Park! Hit up Basic Pizza before the game (they give out free pizza slices during happy hour) or head to Fairweather for a tropical cocktail! Once the game is over catch an epic view of sunset from the Altitude Sky Lounge on top of the Marriott Hotel.

About Vanessa: Born and raised in Orange County, CA Vanessa Volle earned her BA in Business Management and Regional Development at the University of Arizona. She then found herself in San Diego to begin her career in the interior design field at a tech startup doing sales. With her love of hosting friends and family, it was only natural that after a few years, she shifted her focus from designing homes to designing events. From intimate dinner parties to events with over 5,000 attendees, she is always looking for ways to elevate the experience and bring in the unexpected!

Vanessa finds her design inspiration from her widespread travels. She enjoys herself most on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, wine tasting in Napa, or snowboarding in Wyoming. When she is home in San Diego, you can find her e-biking to the beach, to a workout class or to get chips, salsa, and margaritas at one of the many authentic taco shops.
