Around the office, you’re known for: Being passionate for food and music. Whether it’s the dinner I made last night, the new single that just dropped, or the brand new restaurant that opened downtown with live music every night, I’m always thinking about one or the other.
Meeting or event experience you’ll never forget: I love the moment just before an event begins. The décor is finished, tables set, everything in its place and there’s a rush of excitement just as the doors open. I never get tired of that feeling!
The one secret in Chicago that I’m willing to share…
Every neighborhood has something that makes it special, but I love Andersonville in June. There’s a celebration called Midsommarfest where you’ll find tons of artisan vendors, great music, Glögg slushies; it’s a celebration of the Swedish heritage of the neighborhood and ,whether you’re Swedish or not, there is something there for everyone.
Whitney has worked in hospitality and events for the last 10 years, managing restaurants, planning weddings, and organizing a wide array of social and corporate events. Originally from Pennsylvania, he has always maintained a dedication to service to others– from executing a two-day-long fundraiser to simply making someone else a meal , he’s always found joy and purpose in making someone else’s experience memorable.
