I look at things with an open mind, from multiple angles, and act as a ‘challenger’ to promote balance. I’m also known for being in the know of the food and beverage scene in the city – if there is a new restaurant opening in the city, I likely know about it! Yummo!
Meeting or event experience you’ll never forget: Among the many meaningful experiences I have been a part of, I am extremely proud to have had the opportunity to design and produce an award-winning, week-long, incentive trip for 40 Australians over Mardi Gras. It was a fun challenge to create authentic and memorable experiences for the group while staying ahead of all the parades and street closures!
The one New Orleans secret I’m willing to share… In New Orleans, in addition to playing the ponies at the New Orleans Fairgrounds Race Course and Slots, you can also bet on ostriches, camels and zebras during their “Exotic Animal Racing” event!
Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Yvonne chose to pursue her college education in New Orleans. Needless to say, she fell in love with the city, and she chose to stay for many years until family and work responsibilities called her away. After working for hotels in great hospitality cities such as Orlando, Las Vegas, Nashville, Atlanta, and San Diego, Yvonne returned to New Orleans and is thrilled to be back. Yvonne has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, having spent those years in the events, catering, and hotel group sales fields – so a move to the DMC world was the next logical career step! After three years with Hosts New Orleans, Yvonne is thriving as an Account Executive. She is proud to be a part of such a successful and dynamic team and to represent such a unique city!
