General Manager
Around the office, you’re known for: Dad jokes and stories of my kids that keep everyone laughing. I also maintain a balancing act of knowing when to let my team put their talents to use, and knowing when to call upon my experience to shepherd the creative planning process.
Meeting or event experience you’ll never forget: Standing on the roof of a convention hotel in Anaheim with a bird’s eye view of airport departures for 9,000 guests. Watching waves of 1,200 guests at a time roll out of the parking lot in a seamless caravan was operational bliss.
The one SoCal secret I’m willing to share… The Largo at the Coronet in West Hollywood. An intimate 300 seat theater, you can catch comedy headliners like Patton Oswalt or Zach Galifianakis practicing new material with cameos from other famous comedic friends. A side-splitting night will run you $30.
A native of California, Martin believes that our industry thrives on relationships built from trust and respect, and builds his teams around the same principles. He has over 17 years of experience in the DMC industry. The early stage of his career was spent in operations with a focus on transportation and complex program logistics. This experience provides a perspective on viability in the early stages of program planning. Martin is a graduate from San Diego State University where he has also taught the DMC class in the hospitality program. He values the opportunity to mentor young professionals and the satisfaction that comes from watching their growth. Outside the office he enjoys spending time with his wife and two golden retrievers, traveling to warm weather destinations, playing golf and cooking.
