Welcome to the city where bold architecture meets boundless creativity — and where every event finds its perfect skyline backdrop. Chicago is a city of rhythm and reinvention, where historic landmarks stand shoulder-to-shoulder with cutting-edge design, and the energy of its neighborhoods is matched only by the warmth of its people. The Hosts Chicago team brings this spirit to life through experiences that capture the city’s contrasts — from lakefront sophistication to underground jazz clubs, from world-class dining to hidden gems tucked along the riverwalk. With deep local connections and a flair for the unexpected, they transform the Windy City into a playground of possibility for every guest.
Why Chicago?
Because few cities can balance business and boldness quite like this one. Chicago is a city built for connection — a place where innovation hums from the Loop to the lakefront, where global companies meet Midwestern hospitality, and where every event feels elevated by the skyline itself. It’s centrally located, effortlessly accessible, and endlessly inspiring.
Here, world-class venues coexist with offbeat, only-in-Chicago spaces: a restored industrial loft with views of the river, a speakeasy hidden behind an unmarked door, a rooftop terrace that seems to touch the clouds. Add in a thriving culinary scene led by award-winning chefs, a pulse of live music, and a lakefront that rivals any coastal escape — and you have a destination that turns every meeting into a memorable moment.
For Hosts Chicago, this isn’t just home turf — it’s a canvas of possibility. Every street, skyline, and story is an opportunity to design something that feels authentically Chicago, yet entirely your own.

They know which rooftops sparkle at sunset, how to curate a riverfront reception that flows effortlessly, and where to find that perfect speakeasy for an after-hours toast. No guesswork—just deep local insight, seamless execution, and the kind of Midwest hospitality that makes every guest feel like a VIP.

Bubbly | Attentive | Witty
There’s a certain thrill I get from taking a spark of an idea and turning it into something unforgettable. Maybe it’s the theater kid in me, or maybe it’s just the fact that I genuinely love making people feel wowed and welcomed. Three years into my journey with Hosts Global, and every new event still feels like opening night.
Chicago wasn’t always home, but it didn’t take long before it claimed a piece of my heart. I moved here six years ago and quickly learned the magic of a summer day by the lake, the unapologetic pride in every neighborhood, and the unspoken rule that you must try the B. Franklin sandwich at Tempesta Market at least once. (And then probably again.)
I’m bubbly by nature, a little bit of a perfectionist when it comes to details, and always ready with a witty comeback. But what really fuels me is being part of a team where trust runs deep and collaboration happens naturally. The ChicagoHosts crew? We’ve got a rhythm that just works—we jump in for each other, share laughs, tackle challenges head-on, and bring a shared love for this city into every client experience.
Ask me about the time I had to pull off a last-minute venue switch with only a few hours to spare—and still managed to impress the client. Or I can give you my shortlist of local spots that never miss. Spoiler alert: it starts with a sandwich.
Whitney Mannion
Operations Manager
Planner | Hobby Collector | Pun Enthusiast
After a decade in the events world and two adventure-packed years with Hosts, I can confidently say I was born to organize a good time. Whether it’s mapping out a lakeside weekend getaway or planning my next meal (spoiler: I’m always thinking about food), my brain runs on checklists and celebration. Nothing thrills me more than crossing off a to-do, unless it’s popping a bottle of champagne for a spontaneous gathering at my place—my door is always open to friends, laughter, and maybe a few off-key piano requests.
I live for trying new things, which means my hobby collection is getting slightly out of hand. I’ve dabbled in everything from pottery to pasta-making, and my terrible joke repertoire is ever-growing (you’ve been warned). At the core of everything I do is a deep love for creating moments of joy, whether it’s for a client event or a Tuesday night dinner with friends.
I’ve called Chicago home for the past five years, and I’m still enamored by the water. From summer strolls along the lakefront to watching snowflakes swirl over the river, this city is pure magic year-round.
Ask me about the time I planned an event for over a hundred dogs and their owners— I left with a new leash on logistics and a deep appreciation for lint rollers

Associate Director of Operations
Outgoing | Detail-Obsessed | Quick on Her Feet
With 15 years in the events world and 7 months at Hosts, I live for the energy of fast-paced, high-stakes days. Operations is where I shine—solving problems on the fly, obsessing over the smallest details, and keeping everything (and everyone) on track with a smile and a sharp sense of humor.
I’m passionate, loyal, and thrive in the thick of it. Outside work, I’m all about my rescue pup Bodie, Cubs games at Wrigley, boxing, sushi, traveling, and soaking in lakefront views (just not the winters).
Eight years in Chicago has only deepened my love for its people and ever-changing energy. This city is walkable, welcoming, and full of surprises—from street art to spontaneous pop-ups, there’s always something new to explore.
Ask me about my best event-day save, my favorite sushi spot, or how Bodie became my favorite “foster fail.”

Easy-going vibe | Operations mastermind | Music-loving foodie
After 13 years in the events industry and nearly three of them with Hosts, I can confidently say there’s never a dull moment—and that’s just how I like it. I thrive in the unpredictable. Give me a jigsaw puzzle or a logistical riddle (bonus points if transportation is involved), and I’m all in. As a Regional Director of Operations, I bring my free-spirited yet organized approach to every program, helping teams shine and clients feel at ease.
My journey with Hosts began in Nashville, where I spent 12 years before preparing to make the leap to Chicago. Helping open both the Nashville and Louisville offices at the same time was one of those career-defining adventures I’ll always treasure.
Outside the office, I’m a devoted foodie and a die-hard fan of “Somebody Feed Phil” — if there’s a dish I haven’t tried, I’m probably already Googling where to find it. Music is my daily fuel (bonus: I sing and play guitar), and I’m always up for a round of golf or cheering on a good game. At home, I soak up time with my wife and our two lovable rescue pups, Reese and Rudy.
What draws me to Chicago isn’t just the stunning lakefront or its deep-rooted history—though both are incredible. It’s the authentic energy, the layered culture, and that unmistakable Midwest charm I grew up with in Ohio. There’s a rhythm to this city that just clicks with me.
Ask me about the time I navigated a client’s guest count doubling 3 hours before doors opened or my favorite live music performance that gave me chills!

Driven | Loyal | Lighthearted
With 12 years in the events industry and six dynamic years at Hosts Global, I bring a blend of grit, grace, and good humor to every partnership. I take pride in building deep client relationships, leading with thoughtfulness, and never taking myself too seriously (Leo energy, anyone?). I love the thrill of the chase and the art of the deal, but I’m just as happy sharing a laugh over coffee with a colleague or client.
Born and raised in the south suburbs of Chicago, I made the city my home for over three decades, from my Loyola University days through my early career. Now based in Grand Rapids, I’m constantly zipping back to the Windy City – and it always feels like home. There’s nowhere quite like Chicago: it’s endlessly walkable, bursting with hidden gems, and steeped in that unmistakable Midwest warmth that makes our hospitality industry shine.
When I’m not closing deals or leading our North Central team, you can find me playing or watching golf, or booking a coveted restaurant res when I can snag a babysitter for my little ones.
Ask me about the most unforgettable meal I’ve had in Chicago or my plans to celebrate my first hole in one that I am still chasing.
Tracy Gleason
Regional General Manager
Connector | Vision-Driver | Nashville Enthusiast
After 25 years in the industry and seven with Hosts, I’ve learned that the most powerful outcomes come from teams that think critically, deliver with heart, and know how to laugh in the thick of it. As Regional GM, I set the strategy, keep performance sharp, and helpnavigate the messy middle – all while reminding my team (and myself) that this work can and should be fun.
I move fast, think big, and lead with a mix of clarity, humor, and that very mom-of-three instinct to manage only the chaos I approve. I believe in asking the hard questions, doing the right thing even when it’s inconvenient, and building a space where no one needs to be the hero – because the magic is in the team. Lucky for me, I get to work with some of the sharpest, kindest, most irreverently hilariouspeople in the business. Together, we’ve built a culture that balances high standards with real camaraderie.
Home is Chicago, where I’ve lived for 22 years (though my roots are in Northern California). There’s something about this city – its layered toughness, beauty, and soul – that gets under your skin in the best way. The skyline stuns, the people show up, and the energy demands your best.
Outside the office, my heart belongs to my husband, three kids, and our two enormous Newfoundlands. I love Lake Michigan and Lou Malnati’s, summer nights at Ravinia, and a Gibson’s Italia dirty martini with extra blue cheese olives. I’ll take any excuse to try a new restaurant, escape into a book, or sip a Diet Coke like it’s a lifestyle – because, for me, it kind of is.
Ask me about the best view on Lake Shore Drive, how to make strategy stick, or the time I flew to three cities in 36 hours and still made it home for bedtime.
