Meeting or event experience you’ll never forget:
The first tradeshow I ever attended was as a guest of one of the keynote speakers, we walked into the welcome party, and I spent the night observing every detail of the event. Things that stuck out to me were ladies walking around with dresses covered in champagne glasses filled to the brim, music soft enough to conversate but not too quiet, “compliment” ladies walking around writing a compliment about each person, a great way to break the ice and start networking. What I observed the most was the impact the event had on each person stepping into the room. Looking back, would I change some things now? Sure, but this event will hold a special place in my heart as I was able to see what potential events can have.
The one Dallas secret I’m willing to share…
The one secret I’m willing to share about Dallas is that within 45 minutes from any point in the metroplex you can be taken to a completely different lifestyle! 40 minutes to the wild wild west in Fort Worth you can see tons of cattle walk right on through, head back to downtown Dallas to take a look around the Perot Museum, after grab a nice meal at Monarch, with the best views of the city. Maybe you prefer the lake? take a 20 minute drive to Lake Lewisville and enjoy a day on the water or head east to the Dallas arboretum, a stunning garden where you can enjoy high tea in the restaurant on site! If none of that sounds good to you, stop into one of our many stadiums from Hockey, to baseball, basketball, and of course our Dallas Cowboys!
Alyssa has been in the hospitality industry for 9+ years, working in restaurants, hotels, non-profit events, weddings, and rentals. She has been lucky enough to have her foot in many doors in the industry and get a good sense of how each group operates. She is a competitive, goal-driven, and creative individual with a passion for event planning and people. In college she decided she wanted to end up at a DMC after meeting with industry leaders and attending IMEX. Fast forward, here we are in 2023 ready to hit the ground running.
