Get to know Brooke…

Around the office, you’re known for: The DMC Jack of all Trades. Brooke’s a veteran in Destination Management with over 20 years of experience conceptualizing and bringing to life countless programs and events in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. She has the tools and the know how to make client dreams become a reality.

A meeting or event experience you’ll never forget:Who could forget Super Bowl XLV in 2011 that brought an ice storm and 6 inches of snow to Dallas, Texas during the days leading up to the big game? The roads were a mess and temperatures were subzero, but the show must go on!  One particular program included an event at the home of one of the most renowned Sportscasters in the Industry, but on the morning before the event the pipes burst in the home!  On top of that the celebrity’s wife injured her leg when she fell through the ceiling while inspecting the damage. A full-scale emergency cleanup crew was called to stop the flooding from the burst pipes, patch the leak, and remove the water from the house less than an hour before the event. Thankfully, most of the damage was in the master bedroom, so we closed off that side of the house and no one was the wiser.  To add confusion to chaos, the house cleaners couldn’t navigate the roads, so my team grabbed a mop, broom, toilet brush, etc. and got to work. It was a frantic day with many challenges, but everything came together on time and the guests had a Super Bowl experience where they froze in Texas, but still had the opportunity to meet the Manning family of Super Bowl winners.

The one Dallas secret I’m willing to share…The one secret that I’m willing to share is no secret – everything’s bigger in Texas! It’s especially true when it comes to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex with a rapidly growing population of 7.7 million people spread across 9,286 square miles (larger than the states of Connecticut, Delaware and Rhode Island combined). With so much land and diversity, there are secret gems everywhere. Including the Historic Stockyards in Ft. Worth, where there is always Texas hospitality and a dozen remarkable districts full of culture and fun. Some say the secret to eating at the best BBQ restaurant is to get there early before the smoked brisket sells out. What about the secrets of the Dallas Cowboys?  Have you seen the inside of the AT&T Stadium, much less The Star in Frisco where they practice? Those and more secrets will be revealed and solved when y’all visit Brooke in Dallas. Stay tuned as we’ll be following up with the diverse offerings from across this great destination.
