Meeting or event experience you’ll never forget:

One of my favorite parts of all dinner events is the instant just before guests depart cocktails and make their way to their seating tables. As waiters harmoniously stand table side with a bottle of wine in hand, awaiting guests to be seated, there is a moment of calm.  The moment is brief, but it is beautiful, and I always reflect on the many hours of hard work that have gone into an event up until this point.  This was particularly memorable for a flawlessly executed, vibrant, spring dinner for 1,300 people at DC’s National Building Museum in 2019 – it was a masterpiece.

The one Washington, DC secret I’m willing to share…

Every spring, the Cherry Blossoms emerge in Washington, DC, as do the tourists.  Everyone is familiar with the iconic pictures of the Cherry Blossoms in full bloom with the Jefferson Memorial as the backdrop along the Tidal Basin.  While the Cherry Blossoms are gorgeous and are a must see, the overwhelming crowds at the Tidal Basin are not always desired.  In recent years, I have been venturing out to the gardens at the National Cathedral and the United States National Arboretum to enjoy the beauty of the Blossoms with a bit less chaos.

A little about Erica…

With 15 years of experience in the events industry, Erica comes to Hosts Global from an industry-renowned caterer in the DC area, where she has most recently led the company’s sales department.  She thrives on working strategically and creating a working environment that is inclusive, collaborative and fun!  Prior to leading the sales department at Occasions Caterers, Erica was an accomplished Account Executive with a proven track record of building client relationships and increasing sales year over year.  Highly engaged in all aspects of the sales process and enjoys designing custom and creative events based on customer needs and always exceeding expectations.
