Meeting or event experience you’ll never forget: A full circle moment for me was attending the 2019 Oscars where our film won Best Animated Feature. There were so many events outside of the motion picture premiere I planned that helped get our team to the Academy Awards. But what made this moment special was the personal significance having grown up watching the Academy Awards with my Grandmother and Mom. We would host Oscar watch parties with themed drinks and dress up to ask, “Who are you wearing?”. To be able to attend that day, sit in the stands and watch the arrivals, and then be in the audience as we won the award was a moment I’ll never forget and I know my grandma was watching from above, smiling through her champagne, proud of her grandbaby.
The one Seattle secret I’m willing to share… It does not rain as much or as often as people think! Seattle is an incredibly temperate location and there are so many outdoor activities to explore. One fun way to experience the city is to take a water taxi to West Seattle and try the delicious Polynesian tacos at Marination Mai Kai by the beach while looking at the water and the city; plan around sunset for an incredible view of the skyline and Mount Rainier surrounded in cotton candy pink hues!

Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (Go Birds!), Madelyn‘s career has moved her from the political realm in Washington, D.C, to the glitz and glam of Hollywood in Los Angeles, California, before returning to corporate business development in Seattle, Washington, and joining the DMC world with Hosts! Her demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic programs that increase brand awareness and fuel business growth, as well as her expertise in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels drive decision-making while using data and metrics to improve performance. When she’s not working, Madelyn can be found playing with her dogs Sperry (11yrs) and Wallace (1.4 yrs.), skiing, running, reading, mountaineering with her fiancé, and attempting to complete the ‘Cascade Range’: summiting all volcanoes from northern California to southern British Columbia. Or sleeping.
