Job summary

Hosts Destinations Services a Destination Management Company “DMC” seeks a dynamic, creative and hardworking Product Development professional. The ideal candidate should have integrity, exhibit passion for great work, an eagerness to learn, and a detail and deadline oriented work style.

Summary of essential job functions

Product Services Development

  • Create, maintain, and update cloud-based proposal software and sales and marketing database
  • Assist with special projects related to company partnerships, awards submissions, marketing efforts
  • Coordinate and execute responses to sales leads and RFPs, developing proposals and managing budgets with the Senior Creative Services Manager
  • Assist with supplier correspondence and relationship development
  • Assist with new product and industry research including trends in meetings, entertainment, décor, food and beverage, as well as trends specific to City Name tourism, travel and entertainment
  • Prepare and assemble materials for proposals and client presentations
  • Work with the Senior Creative Services Manager to ensure that office sales and marketing materials are consistent with companywide branding
  • Manage all social media marketing and platforms including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

Minimum requirements

  • 1-3 years experience in hospitality, media, design, special events, journalism
  • Bachelors degree in tourism, hospitality, event management, communications or marketing
  • Exceptional communication and organization skills
  • Innovative thinking and creative flare
  • Proactivity and self motivation
  • Confident presentation and written skills
  • Comfort with math and managing budgets
  • Capacity to work within tight timeframes and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • An eagerness to stay in tune with what’s new and changing trends
  • Interest in participation within event industry organizations/enjoyment of networking
  • Strong computer skills including all Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with a sense of humor and enthusiasm
  • Flexibility and willingness to work evenings and weekends when necessary
