Hosts Hot Spots: South Africa

South Africa has a standing reputation for being a unique cultural experience where visitors can go on safari, experience local cuisine, and take in the great beauty of the country. This is all true, but in December a new experience has been introduced to Johannesburg, South Africa that has definitely added a new side to South Africa. That experience is the opening of Four Seasons Westcliff, a five-star luxury hotel overlooking the Johannesburg Zoo and beautiful garden laced landscape of South Africa. This 117 room resort features a luxurious spa, 5 versatile restaurants, and an outdoor swimming oasis. A trip to South Africa, while staying at the Four Season Westcliff it truly is a once in a lifetime experience, but don’t just take our word for it. Come experience it for yourself.

Q&A with Bruno Reis Neto – VP of Marketing at Sandown Tours & Incentives

If you were visiting and had only 24 hours to spend in South Africa, what would you do?

SAFARI, SAFARI, SAFARI!! I would go on a Safari and relax in the Bush, there is nothing more relaxing then going to a Lodge and Safari, even if it’s just for one night.

What is one thing that most people do not know about South Africa?

Most people do not know that South Africa has been ranked 14th Best Destination in the world, and Cape Town is the 9th best City to visit, according to the Conde Naste Traveller Readers Awards in 2014.

What is your favorite local dish? And what restaurant makes it the best?

Meat in South Africa is very good, and my favorite place to have some would be ‘My Local Grill’ in Johannesburg and ‘Carne’ in Cape Town.
